Question: I see that you have undertaken clinical studies for some of your products and I am interested in particular in your Age Defence Moisturiser. Can you please explain these trials, how they were undertaken and the complete findings?
Answer: The Age Defence clinical trials were carried out by an external company that specialises in the clinical testing of cosmetic products. The trial was an 8 week home-use study in 30 females. For the 8 weeks volunteers used the product on one side of the face only. Imprints of the skin (on both sides of the face) were analysed at the beginning of the study and after 8 weeks. Moisturisation levels were also recorded. Profilometry, corneometry and macrophotography were used.
Results showed:
- Age Defence Moisturiser significantly reduced the appearance of crows feet and fine lines.
- Wrinkles were reduced by an average of 62.9%.
- Skin smoothness (general skin texture) was improved by 66.1%.
Perception tests showed:
- 79% said that it made their skin soft
- 72% said it made their skin smoother
- 83% said that they would replace their moisturiser with Age Defence Moisturiser.
