Our DNA
Sustainability and ethical responsibility is part of NUDE’s DNA. Founded on uncompromising values, we work at NUDE HQ in a recycled sea container in the heart of east London, committed to making every decision count.
Environmental responsibility
We’re not perfect but we try to think about sustainability intelligently. Nude does not test on animals and is carbon neutral. We support recycling and reducing the volume of virgin material used in the industry. 40% of our range is made using recycled plastic, and we are constantly working to improve this. Our cartons are made using recycled card which can also be recycled and re-used. They are printed with non-toxic inks and a water-based matt seal. Additionally, we are the first premium skincare range to introduce bottles made with 100% Post Consumer Regrind (PCR).
We work from a building in London owned by The Environment Trust, a community organisation that specialises in affordable environmentally friendly housing and work with schools to improve their green spaces and environmental education.
We source ingredients with integrity and respect
We’ve searched the globe to bring back the most powerful ingredients sourced at the highest ethical standards. Our clinically proven Age Defence Moisturiser contains fair trade argan extract which we buy from a women’s refuge in Morocco. Our exquisite Hibiscus Monoi is made using pure Tahitian monoi, and in our products you’ll find the world’s most powerful emollients such as cupuacu, buruti and juazerio from Brazil and manketti and baobab, grown in Africa.
Recycling in the UK
Type 5 polypropylene is one of the most recyclable plastics but not all local facilities recycle it yet.
If you don't have a recycling facility close by, you can either return your packaging to a NUDE counter and we'll recycle it for you. Alternatively, send it to the address below. Please write 'Freepost Nude Skincare' in place of a stamp.
