Frequently Asked Questions

We want to be as transparent as possible with our customers, so below are answers to some frequently asked questions about NUDE Skincare. If you have further questions, please email Hello@NUDEskincare.com and we’ll respond as quickly as possible.

You can shop for NUDE Skincare in luxury beauty retailers throughout the US, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand. In the US and Canada, our exclusive retailer is Sephora; in the UK, our exclusive retailer is SpaceNK; and in Australia and New Zealand, our exclusive retailer is Mecca Cosmetica. We work very closely with each retailer to deliver high quality products and an enjoyable shopping experience.

Each product's shelf life can be found on its box in a symbol with the number of months indicated inside an open jar. This is known as the “period after opening” symbol.

Every little bit counts. At the office and in our product development, we strive to respect the earth.

All of our cartons are recyclable and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified, which is a strict set of standards for environmentally and socially responsible paper products.

All of our glass jars and bottles are fully recyclable. Please remove the lid or dropper before recycling.

Whenever possible we try to make our packaging fully recyclable, while still maintaining the integrity of the formula. You can recycle these plastic containers: Advanced Renewal Overnight Repair Mask, Perfect Cleansing Oil (remove pump first), and Purify Toning Water (remove pump first).

Airless pumps were used on particular products based on formula needs. However, these pumps are not recyclable.

NUDE Skincare does not conduct or commission animal testing on raw materials or finished products in any phase of product development, by our laboratories or our suppliers.

We do not test any of our products on animals nor does any third party test them on our behalf. We are deeply committed to respecting animal life. NUDE Skincare requires raw material suppliers to provide safety information based on scientifically accepted alternative testing methods that meet international safety standards and regulations.

We are involved in developing alternative methods through support of the “Fund for Alternatives to Animal Testing” in the United States and the Opal Program in France. Additionally, we are one of only a few companies to have invested in creating an internal department to test raw materials and ingredients to further ensure the quality of our products and the satisfaction of our customers, which is our top priority. We are hopeful that alternative testing methods will be adopted worldwide and we will see an end to animal testing.

Each country has its own specific regulations that are regularly updated. We have been actively involved in the search for alternative testing methods for many years and support several industry research programs, including those conducted by the Johns Hopkins University Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing, the European Chemical Industry Ecology and Toxicology Centre (ECETOC), the European Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association (COLIPA) and the Personal Care Products Council (PCPC).

NUDE Skincare is against cruelty to animals. It is our goal to be as transparent and honest with our customers as possible. We believe the “cruelty free” certifications provide unclear explanations to consumers, as it implies that none of the ingredients incorporated into products have ever been tested on animals. This is a nearly impossible certification for any skincare company to make, as many existing raw materials have at one point been tested on animals in the past. We prefer to be able to stand 100% behind our claims.

All ingredients that scent our products are natural. We are required by law for language requirements to list them as “parfum (fragrance)” on the packaging. Although fragrances come in natural or synthetic forms, NUDE Skincare chooses to use only natural ingredients that provide the scents in our products and can also deliver additional benefits, like antioxidants to protect skin.

NUDE Skincare does not test for or claim that our products are hypoallergenic (least likely to cause an allergic reaction). If you have a specific allergy, please contact your doctor to determine if a product is suitable for your skin.

When creating our range we researched organic ingredients, but quickly discovered that organic certification is hard to validate and often the supply of ingredients we need for high-performing results are scarce, if available at all.

All NUDE Skincare products are checked for safety; however, if you are pregnant and have any concerns please contact your doctor with the list of ingredients (all available on our website and packaging).

From time to time, samples are available at your local retailer (Sephora, SpaceNK or Mecca Cosmetica). Please inquire at your local store to see if samples are available, as we cannot mail out samples by request.

NUDE Skincare is sold exclusively through licensed retail stores in the US, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand. Unfortunately, we are not offering either franchise or wholesale opportunities for independent retailers at this time.

We are always on the look out to welcome creative, inspiring people to our team. If you’re interested in working for NUDE, please email us at careers@NUDEskincare.com.

Please contact Hello@NUDEskincare.com for more information about including NUDE Skincare in your blog post or video.
